"Congratulations Laneen, you have a beautiful baby boy..." These are words that Laneen Haniah never thought she'd hear in her life time. At the age of ten doctors declared Laneen barren due to a life-threatening childhood illness. She was not expected to live past the age of 21. Emmanuel also questioned his ablility to have children since he had no children at age 29.
But then God! The Lord immediately caused Emmanuel and Laneen to be fruitful with a wedding night conception. Emmanuel understnding the hurt of Laneen's past was not willing to abuse her by entering into her before their marriage. Thus, knowing that their wedding night was the first time they shared intimacy, they were both shocked when 10 days after their marriage Laneen tested positive for pregnancy! It was yet further confirmation of their predestined connection to each other.
"It's a girl... and a boy... and another boy.... and another boy... and a girl... and another girl!" They went from thinking they would never hear those words to thinking that they would never stop hearing them!!! (Laugh) The Haniah's believe that God has settled the matter on the size of their family at this season. They are truly amazed and humbled by how God has increased their family since the three of them started off just 10 years ago.
Family is very important to Emmanuel and Laneen. They both come from broken homes. They spend a lot of time with their children. They have both left "promising careers" behind so they can dedicate themselves to raising these young servants of the Kingdom that they have been blessed with temporary stewardship over. They work as little as possible outside of the home, leaving themselves available for thier children.
"It's hard sometimes. It gets tight, but it is so well worth it." say the Haniahs. Emmanuel and Laneen are wonderful parents and their children are anointed and beautiful. One important nugget of wisdom that they offer to other couples is to always keep their priorities straight. God first, then marriage, then children, then public ministry, then personal goals. Never put your personal goals before your ministry assignment, never put your ministry assignment before your children, never put your children before your marriage, and never put your marriage before God! They know that the best thing that any couple can do for their children is keep their marriage healthy and strong and centered on a personal and intimate relationship with Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus Christ)! We hope you enjoy the pictures!
